Kawasaki Robotics

Kawasaki Robotics, a division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, designs and manufactures industrial and collaborative robots for automation in automotive, life sciences, electronics and food production.

Kawasaki Robotics designs and manufactures industrial and collaborative robots as a division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Its roots date to 1969, when the group built what is recognised as the first industrial robot manufactured in Japan. More than 210,000 of its robots have since been installed worldwide, and the company operates across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, with headquarters in Japan and around 100 group companies globally.

The product range spans collaborative robots (cobots) built to work safely alongside humans, delta robots for high-speed pick-and-place operations, and heavy-payload articulated arms capable of handling loads of up to 1,500kg. These are applied in automotive manufacturing, life sciences, electronics assembly and food production, alongside broader automation solutions.

The company's stated approach is that robots augment human capabilities rather than replace them. It emphasises productivity, quality and workplace safety, and provides localised customer support through a network of global sales and service offices.
