Chef Robotics
Chef Robotics builds AI-enabled robotic systems, including ChefOS, that provide flexible labour for food manufacturers and have produced over 50 million meals in production.
Chef Robotics builds AI-enabled robotic systems that supply flexible, adaptable labour to food manufacturers. The company targets a specific problem in food production: the variability of tasks such as ingredient deposits, which has resisted automation, and the shortage of workers available to perform them. Its robots are designed to act as a labour equivalent, helping manufacturers increase throughput, reduce food giveaway and scale operations.
The systems run on ChefOS, an AI platform trained on millions of deposits, with technical work spanning AI/ML, robotics, computer vision and intelligent machines. According to the company, its robots have produced over 50 million meals in production environments - more, it says, than every other food robotics company combined.
The company describes its mission as accelerating the advent of intelligent machines that empower humans, and frames its automation work as human-centred: robots intended to support rather than replace workers. Its stated long-term aim is to change how the world is fed through automation, while focusing on near-term solutions to present-day labour shortages in food manufacturing.
