Icon designs and builds construction-scale 3D printing systems that combine robotics, advanced materials and software. Based in Austin, Texas, the company operates across the United States and Mexico, working in residential, commercial and social housing. Its stated aim is to make construction faster, stronger and more sustainable, with the global housing crisis as its starting point.

The company's two printing platforms, Vulcan and Titan, are used to design and build residential, commercial and social housing projects with speed and precision. Icon launched the first permitted 3D-printed house in 2018 and has since completed more than 248 structures, housing 342 people. Its technical work spans construction-scale 3D printing, robotics, additive manufacturing, advanced materials and software.

Icon describes itself as a team of builders, engineers and operators, and says every team member takes ownership of real, physical impact. The culture emphasises speed, strength and sustainability in construction, alongside building dignity, resilience and future-designed communities, and the forging of lasting bonds among colleagues.
