HGG Group

HGG Group designs and manufactures precision CNC machinery for 3D steel profiling, cutting steel pipes, tubes, beams, boxes and vessel heads. Founded in 1984 by three engineers - Hans Helmhout, Piet Goverse and Pieter Glijnis - the company is based in Wieringerwerf, the Netherlands, and develops its machines entirely in-house. More than 1,100 of its profiling machines have been installed in over 60 countries.

The firm's technical work spans 3D steel profiling, CNC machining, precision cutting technology, pipe profiling, machine design and CAM software. Its proprietary ProCAM system is built to carry out complex profiling operations, cutting fitting and welding time and producing clean cuts that remove the need for further post-processing. Machines are equipped with smart weld preparation features and support automated weld preparation.

Alongside equipment, HGG operates a professional cutting service, HGG Profiling Contractors, which runs the company's own machines at its headquarters and processes roughly 500 tons of material a week. This division means engineering staff work on technology they also use daily. The customer base sits in construction, shipbuilding, offshore, pipe processing and steel fabrication.
