Hello Récit is an educational publishing house that guides pupils in cycles 2, 3 and 4 through the collective creation of a class book. Working through immersive narrative games and writing workshops, the company turns children into the heroes of their own stories while building their writing, reading and illustration skills. Its activities are referenced by the French Ministry of Education and are eligible for the Pass Culture scheme.
The core offer comprises collective writing workshops, in which a class produces a book together, and thematic regional missions. The latter focus on Madagascar, La Réunion, Mayotte and the Seychelles, with pupils exploring local myths and legends while developing their writing and illustration work. Each participating pupil receives one copy of the finished collective book.
Hello Récit works with primary schools, secondary schools (collèges) and social centres (centres sociaux) in France and across the Indian Ocean region. The company is based at Station F, the startup campus in Paris. Its stated areas of work include immersive narrative games, writing workshops, illustration, educational publishing and the development of a teaching platform.
