HAVI is a supply chain management and logistics company serving the food industry. Founded in 1974, it provides end-to-end services spanning freight management, distribution and warehousing, planning and analytics, and waste and recycling solutions. Its customers include quick-service restaurant, food service, retail and consumer brands, ranging from globally known names to regional operators. HAVI runs 100 distribution centers and a fleet of 1,000 trucks, and employs around 7,500 people. Freight and transportation management is supported directly by the truck fleet, while distribution and warehousing activities are spread across the global network of centers. The company dates its origins to a handshake agreement in the Chicago area, and its name is formed from the founders' wives, Harriette and Vivian.
