Halfords is a UK retailer of motoring and cycling products and operator of car servicing and repair Autocentres, with over 400 stores, 300 Autocentres and 12,000 colleagues.

Halfords is the UK's leading retailer of automotive and cycling products and one of the country's leading operators in car servicing and repairs. Founded in Leicester in 1892 and now listed on the London Stock Exchange, the company employs over 12,000 colleagues across more than 400 retail stores and in excess of 300 Autocentres in England, Scotland and Wales. Its stated mission is "making journeys better".

The business spans several distinct operating areas. Retail covers motoring products and cycling goods, including over one million bicycles sold annually. Halfords Autocentres is described as the UK's largest automotive service, maintenance or repair business, with 2,000 technicians servicing more than one million vehicles a year. A growing network of Mobile Expert hubs extends automotive servicing beyond fixed sites. Avayler, the group's SaaS division, sells field service management technology to businesses globally.

Roles are spread across store and Autocentre operations, technical and apprenticeship positions, and corporate functions based at the Support Centre in Redditch, described internally as the "engine room" of the business. Teams there span Finance, Buying, Digital, Marketing, Supply Chain, Commercial Support and Central Support. The company has invested in the Halfords Dunstable Training Academy to develop automotive skills and support apprenticeships across England, Scotland and Wales.
