Flix

Flix is a German mobility provider running intercity bus and train travel through a tech platform partnering with local operators, spanning FlixBus, FlixTrain and Greyhound.

Flix is a German mobility provider, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Munich, that offers affordable and sustainable intercity bus and train travel. Rather than owning its own fleet, the company operates a technology-driven platform that partners with local bus companies, combining its booking and operations software with their vehicles and drivers. The model has supported the creation of thousands of jobs in the mobility industry.

The company's brands span several markets. FlixBus, its intercity bus service, carries more than 80m passengers a year to over 8,000 destinations, offering amenities such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets and extra legroom on modern buses. FlixTrain extends the offering into rail travel. The acquisition of Greyhound, an established American intercity bus brand, strengthened the company's presence in North America.

Flix operates in more than 40 countries across Europe, North America and South America, with a stated focus on reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion through collective travel. Technical work spans mobility technology, its booking platform, real-time tracking and transportation operations software, alongside standards for comfort, safety and reliability.
