Firefly Autism

Firefly Autism is a Colorado nonprofit providing personalised ABA and behavioural health programmes, home support, training and adult services across the lifespan.

Firefly Autism is a Colorado-based nonprofit that provides personalised programmes and community support to autistic individuals who face barriers to accessing care. Founded in 2003, it began with five therapists serving 12 children and now reaches thousands of individuals and families across the state. Its work spans the full lifespan, from infants of three months to adults over 70 - a range that places it among the few Colorado programmes serving all age groups.

The organisation's clinical approach draws on Applied Behavioral Analysis together with assent-based and values-based therapy, with individualised behavioural planning and instructional goal development at the centre of each client's care. Services are delivered through several channels: centre-based programmes at the Lakewood campus offering in-person therapy, education and support; home support services; professional training and consultation for families and caregivers; and specialised adult services, which address a documented gap in Colorado's community provision.

Firefly Autism operates within the healthcare, behavioural health, education and social services sectors. Its stated culture is mission-driven and care is personalised, with an emphasis on ensuring each person's voice guides their own support and on building inclusive community connections. Roles at the organisation sit alongside multidisciplinary teams working in ABA and related behavioural health disciplines.
