Farrans is a civil engineering and building contractor working across the UK and Ireland, acting as main contractor on infrastructure and building schemes. Contract values range from £5 million to £300 million, and the company maintains more than 45 active project sites at any one time. It employs more than 600 people and has over 80 years of operating experience.

The firm works across seven core sectors, among them water, energy, aviation, transportation, marine, industrial and commercial construction. Its activities span civil engineering, building construction, sustainable construction solutions and interiors fit-out. Repurposing, refurbishment and interiors services are delivered under the Fado brand.

Farrans is headquartered in Belfast, with offices in London, Edinburgh, Leeds and Monaghan. It forms part of the Sisk group, a sister company to Tarmac within the CRH global building materials group, which extends its reach to mainland Europe.
