Emidat

Emidat, founded in 2023 in Munich, is a climate-native product intelligence platform for construction and building material manufacturers. Its software automates the generation and management of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Digital Product Passports (DPPs) using AI. The company was established to address a sector that accounts for approximately 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

The Emidat Platform collects product data from physical production processes, generates verified environmental documentation and makes it usable along the entire value chain. Where a traditional EPD can take up to a year and cost around 15,000 euros per product, the company states its software reduces generation time to as little as a week and cuts costs substantially.

Emidat reports more than 200 customers across over 60 product categories, serving industries including concrete manufacturing and building products. It has raised 4 million euros in funding. Technical work at the company spans AI-powered software, environmental data automation, life cycle assessment, product data management and sustainability documentation.

Emidat is a Certified B Corporation, and its stated focus is the decarbonisation of construction materials.
