Dent Neurologic Institute
Largest outpatient neurology practice in the US, providing subspecialty neurologic care, neurodiagnostics and clinical research across New York State since 1963.
Dent Neurologic Institute, founded in 1963, is the largest outpatient neurology practice in the United States. Operating across multiple locations in New York State, it treats nearly 1,300 patients a day and records more than 330,000 patient visits a year. The institute employs over 100 providers and runs 26 subspecialty clinics, covering conditions from multiple sclerosis to movement disorders.
Clinical work is supported by advanced neurodiagnostic services and dedicated treatment centers for conditions including multiple sclerosis and movement disorders. Alongside patient care, the DENT Neurosciences Research Center conducts research in the neurosciences, and the institute's clinical research trials programme runs more than 100 ongoing trials - a volume that surpasses most major hospitals in the region. Education forms a third strand of its remit.
Staff work within a stated patient-first philosophy, which asks that every patient and colleague be treated with the dignity, respect and kindness one would seek for one's own family. The institute holds strategic partnerships with institutions including Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and has maintained a presence in Western New York since its founding.
