CoVar is a small research-and-development software company that builds bespoke machine-learning and AI algorithms and full engineering solutions for clients in defence, healthcare and industry. Founded in 2017, the firm works across the whole engineering lifecycle, from basic algorithm research through to large-scale system integration and real-world deployment.
Its technical work concentrates on computer vision and sensor data processing. CoVar develops aided and automatic target recognition (AiTR/ATR) systems that analyse infrared and RGB imagery for threat detection, and it maintains one of the world's largest collections of labelled imagery, built for Army AiTR researchers. The same tooling is applied to biomedical research and to AI-driven monitoring of industrial machinery. Clients include the U.S. Army, DARPA and various healthcare organisations.
