CoreWeave is a cloud platform built specifically for artificial intelligence workloads. Founded in 2017 and based on GPU compute, it provides the infrastructure companies use to train and deploy large language models at scale. The company serves AI labs, enterprises and start-ups across the United States and Europe, and operates data centers in both regions.

Unlike general-purpose clouds, CoreWeave's stack was designed with AI in mind from the ground up. Its offerings include an AI-optimised GPU cloud platform, a custom-built Kubernetes-based orchestration layer and proprietary storage solutions engineered for AI workloads. Technical work spans GPU cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning training and inference, large language model workloads, data centre operations and high performance computing.

The firm began life as Atlantic Crypto, a crypto-mining operation, before making a full strategic pivot to AI infrastructure - a history that informs its stated conviction that the future cloud cannot be a repurposed version of the past. Team members come from varied backgrounds, including commodities trading and infrastructure engineering. The company was named among the TIME100 most influential companies.
