Civitech
Civitech builds voter data, texting, organising and voter registration tools used by progressive campaigns and nonprofits across the United States.
Civitech is a political technology startup founded in 2019 that builds infrastructure and civic tools for progressive campaigns and nonprofit organisations. Its products help identify and engage voters across the United States. These include TextOut, peer-to-peer texting software for campaigns and organisations; RunningMate, a campaign organising platform for progressive campaigns and causes; and Source, a proprietary voter data product that identifies unregistered likely-Democratic and progressive voters. The PIR Database holds 30m records of unregistered potential voters, and a Voter Registration Suite provides a set of registration tools.
The company reports that more than 500 partners have used Civitech tools since 2019, reaching tens of millions of voters. Its technical work spans voter data analytics, political technology, peer-to-peer messaging, campaign organising platforms and voter registration technology. Clients and partners include political campaigns, nonprofit organisations and national political committees.
Civitech is a Certified B Corporation and a public benefit corporation. It states a mission of strengthening democracy, expanding the electorate and supporting historically disenfranchised and suppressed voters, with an emphasis on making tools affordable and accessible to leaders at all levels and on measurable impact.
