Calumet

Calumet is a specialty products company that manufactures, formulates and markets a slate of specialty branded goods to consumer-facing and industrial markets worldwide. From its headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, the firm employs more than 1,600 people and operates 12 manufacturing and production facilities across North America, serving nearly 2,500 customers in more than 90 countries. It has been in operation for over a century.

The company organises its activities across two primary divisions: Specialty Products and Solutions, which produces specialty branded products for consumer and industrial applications, and Performance Brands, which houses consumer and industrial labels including Bel-Ray (high-performance lubricants and greases), Royal Purple (premium synthetic lubricants) and TruFuel (high-performance ethanol-free engineered fuel). Its output reaches thousands of applications, from cosmetics and crayons to jet fuel.

Montana Renewables, acquired in 2022, converts renewable feedstocks into low-emission sustainable fuel alternatives and places Calumet in North America's energy transition. Technical work at the company spans specialty chemical manufacturing, product formulation, lubricants and greases engineering, engineered fuel production and renewable feedstock conversion.
