Berman Skin Institute

The Berman Skin Institute (BSI) is one of the world's largest dermatologic and aesthetic laser surgery centers, founded in 1993 and headquartered in California. The practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care, from treatment of acne, eczema and psoriasis to skin cancer. It operates 11 medical clinic locations across Northern California, including Los Altos, Fremont, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Cameron Park, Roseville, Sacramento, Placerville, Tracy and Yuba City, and has been in operation for over three decades.

Clinical work spans medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic laser surgery. Specific services include Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, injectable treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers, CoolSculpting body contouring and advanced laser procedures. The practice holds over 50 lasers on-site alongside numerous non-laser devices. It also performs ARTAS robotic hair transplant surgery; founder Dr. David Berman, a board-certified dermatologist, was the first physician globally to carry out hair transplants using the ARTAS robotic system, and serves as principal researcher for Restoration Robotics.
