ASUS Robotics & AI Center
ASUS Robotics & AI Center is an ASUS R&D division in Taiwan, founded in 2019, developing autonomous systems, computer vision and AI for real-world robotics applications.
ASUS Robotics & AI Center is a research and development division of ASUS, established in 2019 in Taiwan. It works on autonomous systems, computer vision and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on applying these technologies to real-world robotics. The centre draws on ASUS's decades-long experience in hardware engineering while operating with the pace and informality of a smaller organisation.
Its output spans three areas: perception systems built on deep learning, including computer vision models optimised for edge deployment; mission control interfaces designed to support human-robot interaction and mission planning; and real-time telemetry streaming for robotics applications. The technical work covers a broad stack, from embedded systems and edge-deployed perception models to cloud infrastructure, machine learning and real-time data pipelines.
As a corporate R&D division rather than a venture-funded startup, the centre combines enterprise-scale resources with a research-facility culture. The team is multidisciplinary and the working environment is fully English-speaking, which is intended to support recruitment from outside Taiwan. The stated aim of the work is to connect advances in AI research with practical deployment in autonomous systems and robotics.
