UnitX is a machine vision company founded in 2018 and headquartered in San Jose, California. It builds AI-powered visual inspection systems that automate repetitive inspection tasks on factory production lines, using deep learning, robotics and imaging to detect and classify complex defects across parts, materials and positions. The company operates in factories worldwide and has raised Series B funding.

Its inspection system has been deployed in more than 1,000 mission-critical installations, serving over 190 of the world's leading manufacturers. Together these systems inspect roughly $15 billion worth of products a year and have logged more than 5.7 million hours of continuous operation.

UnitX works principally in automotive, EV battery, lithium battery, electronics, PCBA, semiconductors and connectors. Its customer base includes ten of the largest Tier 1 automotive suppliers, the top two EV battery suppliers and ten of the largest lithium battery suppliers. The technical work spans deep learning, computer vision, robotics, imaging systems, and defect detection and classification.
