Alva Industries

Alva Industries is a Norwegian deep-tech company that develops and manufactures ultra-compact, high-performance frameless electric motors. Its technology rests on FiberPrinting™, a patented manufacturing process that produces frameless motors with the thinnest and lightest footprint in the industry, exceptional torque density and cogging-free performance, while allowing design flexibility previously unattainable. Motors are designed and manufactured in-house in Trondheim, where the company is headquartered.

Technical work spans electric motor technology, advanced manufacturing, frameless motor design, electric actuation systems, torque-density optimisation and the elimination of cogging. The motors are built for compact electric actuation systems and are used across robotics, defense, aerospace, medical technology, marine propulsion and industrial automation.

The company employs over 40 professionals and reports hundreds of active customer projects across commercial and defense markets. It has attracted significant funding from international investors including Samsung Ventures, Nabtesco Technology Ventures and Nysnø Climate Investments. Stated priorities include scaling manufacturing capacity and expanding globally.
