AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care is an automotive repair franchise with independently owned service centers across the United States. Over more than 60 years in business, the network has serviced millions of vehicles. Its centers specialise in transmission repair and service, alongside diagnostics, maintenance, electrical systems work and other complex repairs.

Technicians work across the full range of vehicle care, from routine maintenance to complex electrical systems. The company provides comprehensive training programmes and live technician support to keep staff current with evolving automotive technology, alongside a formal career path designed to advance skills and careers within the automotive industry.

Centres run daytime hours and provide clean and safe workspaces. Each location is independently owned, retaining what the company describes as the personal touch of a locally-owned business, while offering the stability and growth of a national franchise network.

The work is organised around an Initial Vehicle Courtesy Check, a pre-service inspection that identifies issues upfront and distinguishes between minor and major repairs before any work begins. Diagnosis is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and proprietary codebooks that are not available elsewhere.
