About The Role
Tito's is seeking an associate-level Buyer to be responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for direct and indirect materials. The role requires knowledge and experience in purchasing for manufacturing. You will be asked to build your knowledge of the company, our processes, and customers. You will receive a high level of guidance on how to solve problems related to the team's responsibilities, while analyzing solutions using standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing and other terms of purchase
- Quote and procure materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need
- Expedite and ensure the timely receipt of materials
- Work with supply chain management to recommend new suppliers
- Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, issues, and/or adjust purchase orders on time
- Follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels
- Develop methods of business simplification for the procurement function while participating in the development of SQF documents for the purchasing function
- Review MRP (Material Resource Planning) regularly. Execute and cancel pull-ins, push-outs, and planned orders as prioritized. Identify issues and escalate as necessary to materials management.
- Maintain inventory levels per plan and perform excess analysis. Minimize excess and zero-demand inventory
- Pull and read part specifications and engineering drawings. Utilize knowledge of material types to communicate with engineers and suppliers. Provide feedback to engineering for cost reduction efforts.
- Demonstrate expanded conceptual knowledge in Purchasing and continually broaden knowledge to other areas of material planning
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or related business field
- 1 - 2 Years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Direct supplier relationship management experience preferred
- Skilled at collecting, organizing, and relaying complex inputs to ensure clear communication
