Job Summary:
The AI Analyst role is responsible for analyzing business processes and data to identify opportunities for leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive innovation. The AI Analyst will work cross-functionally to evaluate use cases, support model development and deployment, and assess performance and ROI of AI initiatives.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven to investigate and communicate their findings while balancing multiple projects. Curiosity and creativity are defining qualities for this role; the ability to dig, discover, validate, and communicate findings are paramount to the candidate's success. The candidate will also demonstrate an ability to work directly with business leaders to inform of relevant AI trends and opportunities important to the business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with department leaders to educate, identify use cases, and support change management as AI capabilities are embedded into day-to-day operations.
- Develop and manage a clear AI roadmap balancing quick wins with strategic, long-term initiatives.
- Lead rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment of AI solutions using internal teams, external vendors, or low-code/no-code platforms as needed.
- Establish KPIs for AI initiatives and report performance improvements, cost savings, and revenue impact to senior leadership.
- Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and performance evaluation of AI models in production environments
- Prepare presentations and reports that communicate complex AI findings to non-technical audiences
- Stay up to date on emerging AI technologies, tools, and regulatory considerations
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science / Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Systems or Business Administration with a focus on AI/Analytics. A master's degree is a plus.
- Certifications in AI/ML, low-code automation platforms, Agile or Lean Six Sigma a plus.
- Proven experience leading AI or data-driven transformation initiatives, preferably in mid-market or growth-stage environments.
- Experience in industries such as distribution, manufacture, logistics, or B2B services is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
