Job Role
We are looking for the person that right now will be able to be assist the organization with many of its analytics, modeling, AI, and reporting needs. We expect you to have the basic technical skills but also that you are the problem solver and learner that eventually becomes very valuable to the organization. You will work closely with sales, finance, and operations and will interact and solve problems with the help of the product development and infrastructure teams.
Job Description
You’ll report into our Data Science lead. The majority of our data lives in SQL Server or in the case of log data, in Splunk. We primarily use PowerBI and Splunk to access and, visualize, and distribute analytics. We are a data intensive business, and therefore we are using data in combination with AI and ML models to drive our business. You will be in an environment where you can grow and take on more responsibility over time, all the while being supported by an experienced and fun passionate team. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your data analytics/science skills to drive insights, revenue, and operational efficiency for the entire organization.

What You Will Do:
· Translate user requirements into analytics and visualizations
· Develop analytics and reporting based on needs of sales, finance, and operations
· Solve for organizational needs related to data and analytics in creative manner
· Ensure data presented is correct according to the specification for the data
· Suggest and implement improvements to how we use our data to support our business
· Troubleshoot and assist in maintaining ETL jobs as well as creating new data pipelines
· Construct SQL queries
· Maintain existing reporting in Splunk and PowerBI
· Evaluate and experiment with tools, libraries, methods related to analytics, AI, and machine learning
· Plan, organize, and document your own work
· Work with the organization to prioritize analytics/reporting needs
· Learn and utilize the Viewpost platform
· Protect the organization's interests by keeping information confidential
· Flexibility to work additional/different hours as required (not common)
Requirements and good to haves:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
· 3-5+ years’ full-time experience in similar role
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
· Apply the power of AI to drive and assist our core payments business
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Proficient in SQL
· Proficiency in a programming language is a plus
· Experience with ETL is a plus
· Experience using some of statistical and data science oriented packages for Python or R is a plus
· Experience in using PowerBI is a plus
· Experience in using Splunk is a plus
· Ability to learn the Virtual Credit Card & Payments industry
· Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
