The Creative Studio Project Manager will be the project management lead for creative producers on the Marketing team. As part of the Mavs Creative Studio, they will shepherd requests from conception through delivery, manage resources and timelines, facilitate team collaboration and partner with various internal and external teams. Communicating and developing relationships with stakeholders and partners will ensure the Studio is functioning at an elevated level. The ideal candidate possesses experience and understanding of working within a creative team environment.
Responsibilities
- The Creative Studio Project Manager reports to the Senior Creative Director of the Marketing team
- Oversee the big picture of the Mavs Creative Studio production process by forecasting, scheduling, and analyzing individual and team workload
- Elevate team output by crafting and implementing new processes, communications, file organization, and project workflows for the Mavs Creative Studio
- Manage project timelines to ensure all projects are delivered on time as well as connect to parent goals within Marketing and the company as a whole
- Manage and develop the use of our project management software for the Studio through research and internal and external collaboration.
- Effectively communicate to the broader Marketing team of the team’s workload
- Ensure our work meets quality standards within the team’s brand guidelines and expectations of the organization
- Manage the design request and creative brief process, ensuring we are equipping individual creative team members with complete information and resources, contextual observations, and a reasonable timescale
- Lead clients and creatives through project planning, budgets, and managing the scope of work
- Initiate meetings with project requestors as needed to gain full picture of project scope
- Balance creativity and structure to drive projects forward and on schedule
- Engage with creative producers as needed to answer questions and provide process feedback
- Act as a primary liaison between the creative team and the client to share information around updates, handoffs, and feedback
- Oversee the details within individual projects, help shepherd the creative vision, ensuring projects reflect proper brand look and feel as well as alignment of our company’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy Platform
- Drive communications via Studio meetings, project kickoff meetings, status updates and recaps
- Manage delivery of files to vendors if necessary
- Document and provide reporting for all completed studio work
- Facilitate team collaboration and aid enrichment of team chemistry
Requirements
- 4+ years project management experience and/or task management for design teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in professional project management software, e.g., Asana, Wrike, Notion
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud design software
- File management and organizational skills
- Ability to proofread copy
- Ability to handle criticism and feedback with professionalism
- Must work creatively and proactively with a team-first mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with excellent focus on the task at hand
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with competing priorities
- Work onsite in the company office four days a week
- Time management and ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment
