Description
The Warehouse Shipping Clerk is a detail-oriented and organized support for outbound shipping operations. This role requires a strong focus on LTL (Less-Than-Truckload), small parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL), and hazmat limited quantity documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and dispatching shipments in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements while maintaining accurate shipping records and ensuring seamless coordination with carriers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process LTL and small parcel shipments, including generating Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping labels, and related documents.
- Ensure all hazmat limited quantity items are properly packaged, labeled, and documented in compliance with DOT and carrier regulations.
- Label and prepare all outgoing shipments with a high level of accuracy and attention to customer-specific labeling requirements.
- Verify outgoing shipments against packing lists and sales orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform shipping transactions and inventory updates using WMS or ERP systems (e.g., Koerber, NetSuite, SAP).
- Maintain the shipping log, including updates on order status, staging areas, and carrier check-in/out times.
- Provide mid-day and end-of-day status reports to the supervisor and logistics team.
- Collaborate with warehouse departments to ensure shipping windows are met.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs for audits and inventory traceability.
- Communicate with customer service, warehouse, and carriers to resolve shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Prepare end-of-day shipping manifests for carriers such as FedEx and DHL.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse shipping role, preferably handling LTL and parcel shipments.
- Working knowledge of hazmat shipping regulations (49 CFR) and limited quantity shipping requirements.
- Experience with carrier shipping platforms (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, FreightQuote).
- Strong understanding of BOLs, packing slips, manifests, and other shipping documentation.
- Proficient in using WMS/ERP systems such as Koerber, NetSuite, SAP (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Must be a proactive team player with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse environment, involving physical work, coordination with various departments, and adherence to safety protocols. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed is expected.
Anastasia Beverly Hills offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $20.00-$21.00 hourly. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is bonus eligible.
