Job Description
This position can be performed in Chicago, Omaha, Toronto, Bay area or New York depending upon which location the applicant chosen for the role is currently residing.

At LinkedIn, the Proposal Content Manager serves as the owner of all proposal content, injecting strategy, solutions knowledge, and process into a well-maintained repository of proposal Q&A, templates, and documents. As a core part of the global Deal Desk team, you’ll own proposal content development – from content creation and design, to research and cross-functional coordination with LinkedIn Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The ideal candidate will feel confident starting from a blank page because of their ability to craft compelling content and simplify complex technical concepts. We’re looking for a resourceful teammate with a fierce dedication to the highest quality and a collaborative approach to partner with their proposal manager peers and cross-functional experts.
Responsibilities
- Owning the LinkedIn proposal team’s content management program — including strategy, project management, writing, editing, and quality assurance
- Managing the content calendar and keep up with moderation timelines / due dates
- Developing net-new content in response to roadmap changes, SME interactions, product enhancements, company announcements, etc.
- Maintaining and updating content within our request for proposal (RFP) management software (Responsive)
- Creating and enforcing content categorization strategy and supporting team enablement
- Regularly attending product review calls, roadmap calls, and other meetings to stay up to date on all content refresh needs
- Forging strong relationships with SMEs to continually build and refresh the content library
- Being an expert on LinkedIn SaaS products, including messaging and positioning, product/technical details, services, and competition (products include LinkedIn Learning, LinkedIn Hiring Solutions, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Collaborating with a broad team on creative initiatives that stretch the limits of your comfort zone
- Serving as the point of contact for our RFP management software vendor
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library science, English, Journalism or related field
- 3+ years direct experience supporting similar content efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- Library science background and/or proposal background
- Experience in a SaaS-based environment
- Superior writing and editing skills. Must be able to write and edit concisely, with an ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical concepts
- Strong sense of ownership over a flawless product, including attention to detail, commitment to deadlines (internal or external), and a customer-service orientation
- Strong ability to problem-solve and exercise judgment with minimal oversight
- Highly responsive – exhibits a sense of urgency in response to prioritized tasks
- Ability to prioritize tasks in line with business priorities
- Excellent computer software skills (MS Office, OneDrive, Google Suite); ability to adapt to new, technology-driven tools and processes
- Experience / familiarity with LinkedIn products is seen as a benefit
- Fluency in a language other than English is seen as a benefit
- Proposal management software experience (i.e., Responsive) is seen as a benefit
- Collaborative team player with excellent listening, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional meetings outside of typical working hours

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $156,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
