Kardigan is looking for a dedicated and experienced analytical leader to support the company’s growth toward becoming a global, multi-product commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company. The Clinical Data Scientist (Contract) will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced data visualization tools and supporting clinical studies through sophisticated data analysis and trial simulations. Your expertise in machine learning, AI, and innovative trial designs will be essential in driving our clinical development programs forward. This role will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, statistical programming, IT, medical monitoring, and translational research. Essential duties include developing comprehensive data visualization packages to support clinical trial monitoring, detecting data errors, anomalies, evaluating site performance, and predicting patient withdrawal or safety risks; performing data analysis on existing studies for research or future study design; providing statistical support for publications and communications; performing trial simulations to evaluate trial performance and inform operations planning; authoring SAP and overseeing programming teams for TFL deliveries; staying current with technologies in data analysis including machine learning and AI; implementing innovative solutions for clinical data analysis and visualization including digital health data, EMR, and RWD; maintaining knowledge of innovative trial designs and methodologies; and serving as a consultant across company functions providing expertise in methodological research and education. Qualifications include an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field; 4+ years of clinical data analysis experience with strong background in data visualization tools; proficiency in Python, R, or SAS; expertise in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics; strong understanding of clinical trial design and methodologies; excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams; experience overseeing external vendors is a plus; and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment managing multiple priorities.
