Overview
At Lavazza North America, the Logistics Operations Manager is an integral role within the Supply Chain & Logistics department. This role will safeguard warehouse and transportation operations by establishing and monitoring procedures and protocols. Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage systems. Control transportation costs with 3PL partners using the systems provided by Lavazza and the 3PL partners. The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee a team of Warehouse, Operations, and Transportation Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory at three local distribution warehouses ensuring daily stock alignment, efficient clearing of IDOC errors.
- Manage the bi-annual physical inventory at local warehouses, reconciles actual stock count versus book stock.
- Oversees the correct rotation of the stock, produce reports to highlight expiry /block stock and collaborate with the internal company stakeholders on this topic.
- Lead monthly meetings with each 3PLs and organise inspections and visits.
- Collaborate with Audit and quality on 3PLs topics.
- Lead Supply team on all SAP project activities and collaborate with IT on all EDI and Interface topics.
- Handle and extract monthly warehouse KPIs report and present them to the business and 3PLs.
- Control the 3PLs warehouse and transportation invoices and costs.
- Manage the supply of pallets and declarations needed.
- Collaborate with procurement and SC Manager on the 3PL contracts and annual renewal.
- Oversee Carrier Relationship and ensure KPIs are being met.
- Collaborate with Customer Service on customer claims and support the business where needed.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administraion or Supply Chain Management
- 5+ years of related experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration is required
- Metrics driven with excellent Excel and analytical skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required and experience in ERP systems and with EDI is preferred
- Experience in Supply Chain areas is required
- Warehouse and inventory management background is needed
- High Level of SAP Experience needed
