We are working with a highly respected financial market infrastructure organization that plays a vital role in the global financial ecosystem. This company operates in a tightly regulated, high-trust environment and is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support several critical functions including Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams.
This is a true HR generalist role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. The right candidate will thrive in a flat, collaborative, and high-accountability environment, where HR owns the full employee lifecycle—including employee relations—from start to finish.
Why This Role Is Unique:
- You won’t be handing off employee relations issues to legal, a COE, or an outside firm. You’ll own the full process—from interview to investigation to resolution—and be trusted as a key advisor.
- This role partners closely with executives and senior leadership, requiring comfort, presence, and a strong HR point of view.
- You’ll report directly to the Head of U.S. HR and work alongside a small, highly engaged HR team that values integrity, partnership, and initiative.
- The organization is federally regulated and overseen by the Federal Reserve, so understanding risk, compliance, and the regulatory landscape is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic and operational HR partner to executive stakeholders in Tech, Risk, Compliance, and Corporate Secretary functions.
- Lead full-lifecycle HR support including employee relations, performance management, organizational design, compensation, and career development.
- Manage sensitive ER issues independently, including conducting interviews and internal investigations, providing resolution guidance, and documenting appropriately.
- Collaborate closely with functional COEs (e.g., compensation, talent acquisition, learning & development) while maintaining full ownership of delivery to your client groups.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support diverse and inclusive hiring, emphasizing internal mobility and succession planning.
- Support regulatory and policy compliance in partnership with governance, legal, and business leadership.
- Drive cultural alignment and employee engagement within a tightly regulated, performance-driven organization.
Who We're Looking For:
- 5–7 years of HRBP experience with strong capabilities across employee relations, strategic advising, and talent initiatives.
- Background in financial services, insurance, or banking highly preferred. Open to pharma if well-versed in regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience supporting technology, risk, or compliance functions from an HRBP perspective is strongly preferred.
- A proven hands-on generalist who can balance strategy with execution and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves in a lean environment.
- Comfortable working in a flat structure with direct executive exposure and individual contributor accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident, proactive, and people-centric approach to influencing and advising.
- Bachelor's degree required; certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
If you're an experienced HR Business Partner with a passion for high-touch employee engagement, risk-sensitive advisory work, and delivering impact in a regulatory setting—this is an opportunity to join a mission-critical organization making a real difference in financial markets.
