The Supply Chain Analyst uses analytical and quantitative methods and systems to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support SCM planning and operations. This position also needs an understanding of lean manufacturing, warehouse and inventories analysis along with material management and deep understanding of forecasting and safety inventories.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
- Develops periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
- Monitors contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers
- Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Coordinates delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
- Analyzing the inventories statues and forecasting
- Providing supports in supply chain channels management to reduce the expenses;
- Involving effectively to reduce the cost of procurement and reduce any wastes
- Provides proper advice to buyers and/or planners in forecasting and lean manufacturing areas;
- Performing cross functioning with engineering, plants and marketing to reduce the hidden costs and providing assistance to develop corporate and global supply chain agreements and activities

Education/Certification:
- 4 year degree required with emphasis on operations and supply chain and material management
- Advanced degree preferred in supply chain, mathematics, economics, or computer information systems
Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years in supply chain analysis with emphasis on forecasting or 1 year of experience with a Master's degree
- Must have intermediate knowledge of data mining from ERP and/or financial systems such as Oracle EBS, AS400/BAN
- Must have working knowledge of smart forecasts forecasting software
- Must have the ability of understanding material management concepts, forecasting, and data analysis
- Familiarity of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
