National Events and Education Manager Job Description:
A National Fragrance Education and Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to sales teams and retail partners to enhance fragrance knowledge, selling skills, and brand expertise, ultimately driving sales and elevating customer experience.
Key responsibilities:
Develop Training Strategies & Materials: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams, and potentially global education departments, to assess training needs and create impactful, brand-aligned educational programs and resources.
Conduct Training Sessions: Lead and deliver training workshops and seminars, both in-person and virtually, on new product launches, fragrance expertise, sales techniques, brand history, and storytelling.
Retail Partner Engagement: Train and coach sales associates, counter managers, and fragrance consultants within retail environments to ensure consistent brand messaging and elevated customer service.
Implement Educational Programs: Oversee the implementation of training initiatives, including digital learning platforms and in-store coaching plans, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
Monitor & Evaluate Performance: Track and analyze sales performance, identify skill gaps, and provide feedback and coaching to individuals and teams to enhance their product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
Maintain Brand Image: Ensure visual merchandising standards and brand image guidelines are consistently met across all retail locations.
Manage Events: Support and participate in in-store events and special promotions, leveraging fragrance expertise to drive customer engagement and sales.
Budget Management: Manage the education and training budget effectively.
Essential skills and qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in prestige cosmetics, fragrance sales, and training or field sales in a luxury brand environment.
Fragrance Knowledge: Strong understanding of fragrance products, ingredients, classifications, and current market trends.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills to deliver engaging and impactful training.
Coaching & Leadership: Demonstrated coaching abilities and strong leadership skills to motivate and develop sales teams.
Instructional Design: Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to create effective training content.
Business Acumen: Understanding of the luxury fragrance market, retail operations, and sales strategies.
Travel: Ability to travel 80% domestic market.
Schedule: Tuesday office day, Wednesday to Saturday in store.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Relevant certifications from fragrance schools or organizations are also beneficial.
