Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and reliable Art Instructor to lead fun and educational art classes for our preschool and elementary students (grades Pre-K-5) as part of our 2025-2026 after-school program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and has a background in visual arts and/or art education.
Start Date: September 2nd, 2025
Workdays: Mondays and Tuesdays
Time: 3:30 to 5:45 p.m.
Direct Supervisor: Dean of Students
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate art lessons and activities
- Introduce students to a variety of materials, techniques, and art styles
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for creativity and self-expression
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety at all times
- Prepare materials and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with site staff to support program goals and communicate with families
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a group setting (elementary age preferred)
- Background in art, art education, or related field
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Bilingual (French & English) preferred
Benefits
The hourly rate for this position is $50-$60 per hour, dependent on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
