About The Role
Youth to the People is looking for a digital storyteller who lives at the intersection of creativity, community, and culture. As Assistant Manager of Social Media + Content, you'll be hands-on in bringing our brand to life across platforms—from ideation and production to posting and community engagement. You’ll help shape our daily social presence, lead creator-first content shoots, and spark conversation with our audience in real time.
You should be equally comfortable behind the camera and in front of it, with a sharp eye for trends and the agility to make content that connects. We’re looking for someone who’s tapped in, has good taste, and knows how to move in culture—not just follow it.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce short-form content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), aligned with brand campaigns, launches, and always-on storytelling
- Film, edit, and star in select social content—confidently showing up on camera when needed
- Contribute to and maintain the weekly/monthly content calendar
- Lead social-first shoots and IRL activations; collaborate with creators, photographers, and internal teams
- Write on-brand copy for captions, campaigns, and community touchpoints
- Support day-to-day community management and audience engagement
- Share social trends, insights, and performance recaps with the broader team
- Partner with influencer and talent teams to integrate creator content into our social strategy
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of social media experience, preferably in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle
- Strong experience with Reels and TikTok—comfortable creating and appearing in short-form video
- Basic editing and design skills (CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma)
- Sharp aesthetic sensibility—you're someone who just gets it
- Strong writing voice that feels human, connected, and culturally relevant
- Proactive, organized, and collaborative—you can manage multiple projects while staying nimble
- Passionate about skincare, sustainability, and building community both online and IRL
