About the Role
We’re seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Office/HR Administrator to join our small but mighty team and help keep our operations running smoothly. This role is primarily focused on office and operational support, with some HR administration. You’ll be a key player in managing the day-to-day logistics of our San Francisco-based company, supporting internal systems and tools, and providing light IT and HR support across the agency.

Key Responsibilities
- Work onsite in our San Francisco office at least 2 times per week
- Manage mail, check deposits, and calendar coordination
- Schedule meetings and manage travel, hotel, and restaurant bookings
- Maintain office supplies, food inventory, and a client-ready workspace
- Credit Card Reconciliation
- Liaise with the property manager and office vendors
- Manage the maintenance of office equipment (copiers, etc.)
- Manage access to office keys and digital folders/drives
- Support company-wide events and monthly meetings
- Execute special projects and support internal process documentation
- Provide backup support to the Administrative Assistant
- Assist with remote and on-site administrative tasks for client projects
- Support occasional community engagement events
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues and manage company assets (laptops, equipment)
- Set up and offboard tech for new hires
- Administer tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Asana, and others
- Manage user licenses and software subscriptions
- Provide support with our billing platform
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Draft HR documents (e.g., offer letters)
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
- Support new hire onboarding and offboarding
- Track employee leave requests and assist with payroll submissions
- Help with benefits coordination and employee events
- Manage employee gifts, team cards, and milestones
Who You Are
You’re a proactive problem-solver who keeps things moving behind the scenes with minimal direction. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive on helping others by creating structure and solving operational challenges. You communicate clearly, juggle multiple tasks with ease, and bring professionalism and discretion to everything you do.
You’re also tech-savvy, comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana, and eager to learn new systems quickly. You’re aligned with our company values and energized by mission-driven, social impact work.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- 3–5 years of full time experience in office administration, HR, and/or operations—preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Proven experience handling HR processes: onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee records
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, and Asana
- Tech-confident and adaptable with excellent judgment and follow-through

- Hybrid role: must work in the San Francisco office at least 2 days per week
