Tri Star Energy is seeking an experienced, sales driven, and forward thinking
Vice President of Facilities & Construction to lead our new to industry, remodel, environmental, and maintenance services at our Store Support Center in
Nashville, TN. This role requires a visionary that can set strategy, lead initiatives, and maximize profit, while being aligned with organizational goals, opportunities, and future growth priorities.
The Vice-President of Facilities & Construction is responsible for directing all of the Facilities, Construction, and Environmental Compliance functions of the company in accordance with the policies and practices of Tri Star Energy, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws, regulations, and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. Responsible for strategic planning and leading all construction projects and facilities maintenance teams.

Primary Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization's Facilities & Construction function and performance. Manages and oversees all functions of the Facility Services, Construction, and Environmental Compliance departments.
- Participates in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner. Establishes policies for and provides leadership of key offices and departments including facilities operations and maintenance, real estate, infrastructure planning, and construction design & management.
- Translates the strategic and tactical business plans into strategic Facilities & Construction and operational plans.
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the Facilities & Construction resources of the company.
- Facilitates construction planning and advises management and ownership regarding space allocation policy and decisions.
- Represents the company in high-level negotiations with state, city, and county officials concerning state agency oversight, real estate transactions, zoning, jurisdictional matters, and construction issues.
- Oversees the maintenance, operations, and housekeeping of all company-owned facilities and grounds and the utilities systems.
- Continually monitors and assesses the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
- Establishes credibility throughout the organization, with management and the employees, to be an effective listener and problem-solver.
- Develops appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the organization’s resources and assets.
- Enhances and/or develops, implements, and enforces Facilities & Construction policies and procedures by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Coordinates the activities, programs, and strategic plans throughout the company.
- Provides technical advice and knowledge to others within the Facilities & Construction discipline.
- Prepares and manages the budget and other financial measures of the Facilities & Construction department.
- Continues improving the programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational needs of the organization.
- Evaluates the departmental structures and team plans for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) for individuals.
- Maintains confidentiality of company, client, employee, and vendor information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or a related field;
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible, supervisory-level Facilities & Construction management experience across a variety of functions
- Experience in a retail, C-Store, and/or fuel/petroleum environments
- Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience in job-related activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business or construction discipline.
- Broad experience and knowledge across financial, warehousing, mergers & acquisitions, supply chain management, environmental, utility, and energy management solutions.
- Awareness of and engagement with the marketplace including artificial intelligence and automation solutions.
