We are seeking a junior Data Scientist to join our growing team and help turn our marketing data into actionable insights. This is an exciting opportunity to apply and grow your skills in advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to generate actionable insights while working in the fast pace world of paid media advertising. You’ll work closely with data engineers, senior analysts, and marketing stakeholders to help optimize campaign performance and support decision-making with data. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in data science and a passion for financial and marketing analytics.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Analytics & Modeling
- Develop and deploy predictive and prescriptive models to inform marketing strategy and paid social optimization.
- Help identify trends and patterns in campaign performance using ML, regression, and time-series techniques (with guidance).
- Support statistical testing (e.g. A/B testing) and interpret results to guide marketing performance improvements.
- Data Engineering & Visualization
- Partner with marketing and product leaders to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights that influence decision-making.
- Support development of data visualizations and dashboards that track performance metrics and operational KPIs.
- Learn and assist in developing data pipelines using tools like dbt to ensure clean and accurate data flows.
Critical Competencies for Success
- 3+ years of experience in a data science, data analyst, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn), including common algorithms such as Random Forests for predictive modeling and K-Means clustering for pattern detection and segmentation.
- Data Engineering Skills – Experience working with big data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure) and managing data pipelines (dbt, Azure datafactory).
- Strong ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Hex.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Comfortable tackling complex, ambiguous business challenges and delivering data-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with marketing or digital advertising data is a plus (but not required).
