Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of the organization. This includes strategic financial planning, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, investor relations, and ensuring financial integrity across all business operations. The SVP of Finance will partner closely with the CEO, (if applicable), and other senior leaders to drive financial performance, support growth initiatives, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS
- Manage capital structure, liquidity, and working capital to support operational and strategic objectives
- Direct treasury operations, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationships
- Lead risk management efforts including insurance, financial controls, and business continuity planning
- Serve as primary liaison with auditors, regulators, and investors on financial matters
- Evaluate and lead M&A opportunities, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-integration finance planning
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team; drive efficiency through process improvement and automation
- Present financial results and strategic insights to executive team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive-level role specializing in the healthcare industry
- Proven track record in financial strategy, corporate finance, capital markets, and risk management
- Experience in managing complex budgets and leading finance teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting (if applicable), tax, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
