We are currently seeking an experienced Branch Service Manager to lead the service department at our Burnsville location. This role is key to ensuring the department runs efficiently and profitably, with a focus on outstanding customer service, timely high-quality repairs and invoicing. You'll manage a team of technicians, coordinate closely with other departments, and drive continuous improvement in service operations. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation includes a competitive wages of $28-$38 per hour based on your experience and qualifications, plus overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and accurate work order processing
- Monitor key performance metrics such as technician productivity, efficiency, and labor utilization
- Assign work orders strategically to maximize technician output and minimize downtime
- Supervise repair work in progress to ensure top-quality results and adherence to safety standards
- Stay current on OEM warranty policies and ensure compliance on all applicable repairs
- Review and approve all service invoicing, verifying labor hours, parts usage, and documentation accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service environment
- Foster strong customer relationships through prompt communication and service follow-up
- Promote company values, policies, and a culture of teamwork and accountability
- Collaborate with Sales, Rentals, and Parts teams to ensure smooth internal work order processing
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in service management or related operations
- Strong technical knowledge of construction and compact equipment
- Proven leadership and team development abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with service management software a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
