Position: Supply Chain Coordinator
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Pay: Up to $24/hour
Shift: 1st, 8am-5pm
Position Summary:
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to support daily operations across procurement, production planning, inventory control, and logistics within our manufacturing facility. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that materials and products flow efficiently through the supply chain to meet production and delivery targets.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of raw materials and components to meet production requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
- Track inventory levels and report discrepancies; assist with stock counts and audits.
- Create and maintain purchase orders, production orders, and shipping documentation using ERP system.
- Monitor order status and update internal teams on changes or delays.
- Support logistics and shipping teams with transportation scheduling and documentation.
- Collaborate with the quality and production teams to address any material non-conformance or delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate records and generate routine supply chain reports.
- Assist with customer service as needed, including providing order status updates, resolving delivery issues, and handling customer inquiries in coordination with the sales or customer support teams.
Position Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or production support (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts and basic understanding of production processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices (preferred).
- Basic understanding of lean principles or continuous improvement methods (preferred).
