Overview:
Borghese is looking for an efficient, proactive and innovative Operations and Supply Chain Manager who is passionate about the beauty industry. Operations and Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our operational processes. This role will play a key part in ensuring seamless coordination between manufacturing, warehouse operations, and other departments to support the business’s growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in operations management, preferably within the beauty industry, and excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Mission is to manage and support the cross-functional delivery of on-time and in-full projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturers to manage production schedules, quality control, and timely delivery of products, ensuring adherence to brand standards.
- Warehouse Operations: Oversee warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics, to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Vendor & Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing and warehouse operations and implement streamlined processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance demand and supply, ensuring stock availability while minimizing waste.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing and warehouse operations, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as product development, marketing, and sales to align operational strategies with business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Budget Oversight: Assist in managing operational budgets, controlling costs, and forecasting expenses related to manufacturing and warehousing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the beauty or consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, warehouse operations, and logistics management.
- Experience in vendor and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in international logistics and compliance.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in manufacturing and operations.
