About the Role
Canopy is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Visual Designer to own and elevate our brand's visual identity across all go-to-market activities. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, this is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States. As our Senior Visual Designer, you will be the primary driver of visual brand execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact across marketing, sales, and customer success touchpoints. You'll blend strategic brand thinking with exceptional design execution, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring Canopy's mission and value proposition to life visually.
What You'll Do
This role balances strategic brand stewardship with hands-on design execution:
- Primary Focus (~80%): Brand Development & Go-to-Market Execution:
- Lead the visual execution and stewardship of the Canopy brand across all channels, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality, and impactful presence.
- Refine and evolve our existing brand guidelines, documenting standards and championing their adoption internally to set the visual direction for Canopy's future.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales leadership, and the VP of Growth to concept and design compelling marketing and sales enablement materials. This includes creating expert-level presentations (Keynote/Google Slides), engaging one-pagers, informative solution guides, impactful case study layouts, effective digital ad creative, website assets, visually appealing landing page designs, and eye-catching tradeshow/event visuals.
- Secondary Focus (~20%): Customer Success & End-User Materials:
- Design clear, user-friendly, and visually engaging support materials for our Customer Success team and end-users, such as implementation guides, product usage one-pagers, and quick-start guides.
- Crucially, you will establish scalable systems for producing these materials, focusing on creating robust, easy-to-update templates (leveraging Figma, InDesign, Google Slides/Docs) and defining efficient design and production processes.
What You'll Need (Qualifications)
- Experience: 8-10 years of relevant professional design experience.
- Portfolio:A strong online portfolio is required for consideration. Your portfolio must showcase expertise in developing and applying brand identity systems, examples of marketing collateral (digital and print), strong document layout/typography skills (guides, reports), expert presentation design, and web/digital design examples (website assets, landing pages, ads). Examples demonstrating work for B2B companies or complex solutions are highly desirable.
- Brand Expertise: Proven ability to develop, execute, and champion visual brand identities across diverse touchpoints.
- Layout & Typography: Mastery of layout and typography principles, particularly applied to marketing collateral and informational documents.
- Web Design: Strong visual web design skills, including creating assets, designing effective landing pages, and producing digital ad creative (note: coding skills are not required).
- Presentation Design: Expert-level skills in presentation design, specifically demonstrating mastery of Keynote and Google Slides.
- Conceptual Thinking: Ability to translate complex marketing, product, and technical concepts into clear, compelling, and on-brand visuals.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, CS, Leadership).
- Experience designing for B2B audiences is highly valuable.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)
- Direct design experience within the B2B technology, enterprise software, or US healthcare sectors.
- Skills in motion graphics or video editing.
Tools You'll Use
- Must be highly proficient in: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Keynote, and Google Slides.

- The consistency, quality, and strategic evolution of the Canopy brand's visual application across all materials.
- The perceived effectiveness, visual appeal, and quality of the marketing, sales, and customer success materials you produce (supported by stakeholder feedback).
- Strong satisfaction and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership.
- Timely and efficient delivery of high-quality design assets.
- The clarity, usability, and user comprehension of the guides and documents you design, particularly for customer success and end-users.
