Job Title: Data Governance Specialist
Location: Irving, TX OR Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)
Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Salary: $150 K – $170 K
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in data governance, programming, SQL, market/reference data, and API management. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance practices, ensuring data quality, and managing data integration across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies.
- Work closely with data owners to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Utilize SQL to manage, analyze, and optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and manage APIs to support data integration and access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain reference and market data standards.
- Monitor and manage data quality and data lineage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong technical background in data management and governance.
- Proficiency in SQL with medium to strong expertise.
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Knowledge of market and reference data management.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data quality and data lineage tools.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
