The Brydon Group is a private equity firm founded in 2022 and based in Washington, D.C. The firm partners with experienced operators to acquire and grow small businesses across software, healthcare and business services, with a particular focus on mission-critical B2B and business-to-government companies. It invests in roughly five to six small businesses each year, targeting acquired companies with EBITDA of $1m to $5m.
Its flagship offering is the CEO-in-Residence programme, a competitive selection process that accepts fewer than 2% of applicants. Those chosen receive dedicated capital, deal infrastructure and support including value creation playbooks and executive coaching, alongside a two-year sourcing runway in which to find, acquire and lead a small business.
The firm is veteran-led, founded by former members of elite Navy SEAL teams with 12 combined combat deployments between them. Founders also bring backgrounds at Blackstone, Carlyle, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, as well as multiple successful software exits.
