The Hyatt Regency Dallas is looking for an experiencedGroup Sales Manager to join our highly skilled and recognized Sales team. This role is responsible for selling group guest rooms at Hyatt Regency Dallas and event space at Union Station, the hotel's off-site venue connected to the hotel by an underground walkway. The position offers the opportunity to represent both the hotel and Union Station as an integrated meetings and events solution while developing a professional career in Hotel Sales.
Hyatt Regency Dallas is located downtown next to the iconic Reunion Tower. The ideal Group Sales Manager candidate will have previous full-service hotel sales experience and a demonstrated ability to develop business, manage customer relationships, and sell complex meetings and events. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, Union Station event space, and other Hyatt services to customer groups; managing accounts; conducting site inspections; soliciting and generating business; preparing and presenting effective proposals; maintaining well-organized documentation and reports; utilizing Hyatt systems; and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will also participate in and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings and will work closely with the Sales, Events/Catering, Conference Services, and support teams. This position carries a performance quota.
Responsibilities include:
·Target group accounts with a focus on 10-300 rooms on peak in the assigned geographic / vertical market and/or territory, with an emphasis on proactive solicitation, account saturation, and opportunities that can utilize Union Station event space.
·Sell and position Union Station as an off-site event venue connected to Hyatt Regency Dallas, and package Union Station event space with Hyatt Regency Dallas guest rooms and other hotel services when appropriate to the customer's program.
·Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new group and event business that can generate guest room nights for Hyatt Regency Dallas and event revenue through Union Station, while achieving personal sales and revenue goals.
·Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels, including Regional Sales Offices, CBV, Hyatt Sales Force, Third Parties, and Representative Firms, to promote Hyatt Regency Dallas and Union Station and ensure sales efforts are well coordinated.
·Achieve monthly room night, event-space, and overall revenue goals in alignment with the hotel's business needs and individual performance expectations.
·Close the best opportunities for the hotel and Union Station based on market conditions, customer needs, space availability, and hotel business priorities.
·Understand the overall market in which they sell, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and the positioning of Union Station within the Dallas meetings and events market.
·Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external customers, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event.
·Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, site inspections, venue presentations, and other appropriate sales activities.
·Conduct site inspections of Hyatt Regency Dallas and Union Station, clearly presenting the relationship between hotel guestrooms, meeting/event needs, and the guest experience across both locations.
·Generate contracts, proposals, and presentations that clearly communicate guest room commitments, Union Station event-space options, Hyatt services, and other program requirements.
·Partner with Event Planning, Conference Services, Catering, and hotel operations to provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover of group and event requirements.
·Coordinate closely with the appropriate Union Station venue and hotel event teams to ensure customer expectations are clearly communicated and transferred for execution.
·Maintain accurate account activity, documentation, reports, and sales systems in accordance with Hyatt standards.
·Develop clear and effective RoadMaps / SMART plans for key accounts and business opportunities, including strategies to grow both room-night and event-space production.
·Continue communication with group contacts before, during, and after meetings to encourage rebooking, repeat business, and additional opportunities within the account.
·Entertain group contacts while on property and in the marketplace. Sales managers may be required to entertain outside of normal office hours.
·Participate in one-on-one meetings with the Director of Sales & Marketing and attend meetings related to the group sales department.
·Maintain the highest ethical standards while representing Hyatt Regency Dallas and Union Station.

·A minimum of 3-5 years of full-service hotel sales experience
·Successful experience with business development in hotels
·Experience selling group guest rooms and meeting/event space; experience selling an off-site or destination venue is preferred
·Experience working with CVB teams, partner hotels, and off-property sales channels
·Experience working with complex sales agreements and multi-component group programs
·Ability to sell a destination, hotel, and event venue as an integrated customer solution
·Must have strong selling, negotiating, business writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills
·Experience working with highly experienced Global Sales Representatives
·Ability to manage multiple priorities, develop business independently, and work collaboratively across Sales, Events/Catering, Conference Services, and Operations
