California Hospital Association
Nonprofit trade association representing nearly 400 California hospitals and health systems through advocacy, training and regulatory compliance resources.
The California Hospital Association is a nonprofit trade association and the unified voice for nearly 400 hospitals and health systems across California. Member institutions serve some 40 million residents, and the association is the largest state hospital association in the country. Its headquarters are in Sacramento, with an additional office in Washington, D.C.
The association's work spans three areas. It develops educational programs and training for hospitals and health systems in the state. It publishes resources and guidance on regulatory compliance. And it engages in legislative advocacy on policies affecting the healthcare system, including healthcare affordability, hospital financial security and initiatives that bear on how patient care is delivered.
Staff work at the intersection of healthcare policy, legislative advocacy and hospital operations, alongside regional partnerships and coordination with affiliated organisations such as the Hospital Council and HASC. The association describes itself as a mission-driven organisation with a 'One Team' culture built on collaboration and mutual support.
