BoWatt builds AI-powered requirements and systems engineering software for complex manufacturing industries. Founded in 2023 and based in Germany, the company develops agentic requirements management tools aimed at the engineering workflows of firms in aerospace, automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, industrial automation and manufacturing.

Its flagship product, BoReq, is agentic requirements management software designed for technical sales and application engineering teams. It uses artificial intelligence to help those teams evaluate customer requirements faster and more accurately, converting complex product knowledge into decisions, collaboration and execution. The company's technical domains include artificial intelligence, agentic AI, requirements management, systems engineering and NLP/LLM-assisted requirements evaluation.

BoWatt reached more than €500k in annual recurring revenue on a bootstrapped basis before raising its first round of venture capital. Investors in that round include Atlantic Foodlabs, Buildery (CDTM affiliates), Prequel Ventures and angels from Cohere and Luminovo.

The team consists of startup builders with backgrounds at Stanford and TUM, with prior experience at Google and YC-backed AI startups.
