Curriculum Designer:
We’re looking for a creative, tech-savvy Curriculum Designer to develop and deliver engaging, modern training content for Stanford’s Health, Safety and Sustainability team. In this temporary 6-month role, you will design short, impactful training videos, online modules, and technical guides to help staff and students quickly learn critical procedures, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
This role blends instructional design, technical training, and digital content creation. You will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical concepts into clear, interactive, and visually engaging learning experiences that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Delivery
Design, script, and produce short, high-impact training videos for staff and students.
Develop modern, mobile-friendly eLearning modules, quick-reference guides, and microlearning resources.
Incorporate interactive elements such as quizzes, scenario-based learning, and real-world examples.
Collaboration with SMEs
Partner with Health, Safety and Sustainability experts to capture essential technical and safety information.
Translate complex information into learner-friendly formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technology & Media
Use modern tools for video editing, screen capture, and interactive content creation.
Maintain a digital library of training materials for easy access and ongoing reference.
Training Deployment
Coordinate and upload training content to the designated learning platforms.
Track participation, completions, and feedback to continuously improve content.
Innovation
Recommend fresh approaches to training delivery, such as gamified learning or AR/VR elements.
Keep up-to-date with best practices in instructional design and video-based learning.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in instructional design, technical training, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience producing short-form training videos and digital learning content.
Strong skills in video editing software
Experience using learning management systems (LMS) and digital content authoring tools.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple training projects at once.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in health, safety, facilities, security or technical training environments.
Knowledge of microlearning principles and best practices for modern learners.
Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital content.
Driving is required within the campus
