Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in Python programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- Familiarity working with internal Google libraries for LLMs.
- Interest in health and wellness and how devices can help users further their goals.

You will work alongside with a team to prototype, experiment, and enable new AI experiences that we can then rapidly ship. The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop LLM/AI agent tasks in conjunction with research scientists, utilizing internal libraries (e.g. OneTwo).
- Develop and maintain evaluation pipelines and methodologies for testing various qualities, such as accuracy (and tone/factuality in the case of LLMs).
- Deliver agents into the testing environment and enable the larger team to interact with them.
- Work with Research Scientists to understand current state-of-the-art methods for working with LLMs and various tools to improve outputs.
