Description:The LMGA Strategic Programs Senior Manager in Layton, UT predominantly supports Space SMD strategic deterrent programs (Sentinel, MMIII, Strategic Reentry, FBM) and Aeronautics (F-35, F-22, sustainment) programs associated with Hill AFB. This Senior Manager will report to the LMGA Strategic Programs Director and the SMD Advanced Programs Director (50/50), badged to LMGA.
The Layton UT Senior Manager is responsible for providing an integrated customer facing capability for the long-term growth of Lockheed Martin and for supporting Space SMD directly. As the LMGA Utah Lead located near Hill Air Force Base, this position is responsible for developing close, executive-level working relationships with the United States Government customers and stakeholders to facilitate the discovery, evaluation, qualification, and development of new business opportunities and “keep sold” activities on programs of record. As the SMD Advanced Programs Lead in UT, this employee will also focus on the nation’s Strategic Deterrence mission. When needed, this person will also have the ability to assist with a variety of other LM key programs with the Aeronautics Company regarding Depot activities for F-35, F-22 and other LM programs. This person will ensure “one voice” to the government; establish priorities and support strategic mission area campaign plans; and add value to LMGA. Space, Aero and other business area programs and activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Support corporate, program, and business area staffs to establish and achieve their domestic business objectives.
• Drive cross-mission, cross-business area horizontal integration among the business areas and lines of business.
• Support SMD strategic deterrent programs to include but not limited to MMIII, Sentinel, and Strategic Reentry.
• Maintain currency on worldwide political and military developments that could impact LM’s DoD and Strategic programs and provide perspective to ensure LM positively influences Executive Branch decision making.
• Participate in strategy reviews, color teams, and other business rhythms, providing subject matter expertise on DoD and Strategic issues, priorities, “voice of the customer” and related insights.
• Travel as necessary to support LM business activities, customer engagements, and approved training activities.
• Work on-site in Layton, UT and other Space Company locations near Hill AFB, UT.

Basic Qualifications:• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Expertise in AF ICBM, bomber, or fighter operations, nuclear weapons, maintenance or sustainment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in support of LMGA, Aero, Space, RMS and MFC strategies.
• Ability to initiate customer communications and develop long-term understanding and relationships in support of business goals.
• Knowledge of and experience with DoD customers, industry partners and competitors.
• Diplomatic and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives.
• Highly developed communications and leadership skills.
• Experience in DoD strategic, sustainment, programs, acquisition, budgeting, and requirements processes.
* Air Force ICBM Operations / Maintenance, Aircraft Maintenance / Operations, or Air Force Acquisition experience.
Desired Skills:• Minimum of 10 years AF ICBM Operations/Maintenance, Aircraft Operations/Maintenance, or Acquisition experience.
• Demonstrated USAF customer intimacy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute customer engagement campaigns in the pursuit of business objectives.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Defense Budgeting & DoD acquisition process.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
